L'Oreal True Match - Review.

I have ridiculously pale skin, so finding a foundation that is pale enough has been a somewhat problematic journey. I have mostly good skin, a bit combination with no real breakouts just a little redness in areas and the obvious dark circles that come with having children. I don't really need a high coverage just something that with even out the tone and give me a nice finish, thats why I originally started out using just a BB cream but could never find one that was pale enough. For quite some time I have been using Rimmels Wake Me Up foundation which i absolutely adore the finish of but is still too 'orangey' for my skin tone. After speaking about my foundation problems on my previous blog I got a lot of great recommendations for foundations that have a large spectrum of pale shades and this was one of them.

L'Oreal True Match is a light to medium coverage foundation that is often compared to and called a dupe of Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk foundation which has a hefty price tag! The shade range is fabulous, I chose 'Ivory Rose' the second lightest shade with a slight touch of pink which matches my skin tone absolutely perfectly! It comes with a handy pump (personally I hate foundations without pumps) which dispenses just the right amount of product so you don't get any wastage. It has SPF which is always a bonus as sunnier weather approaches and leaves you with an in between matt/dewy finish which is very natural looking!

My first impressions where that it was a lot runnier then the foundation I had been using this meant having to change how I applied it slightly. Usually i would take it from the back of my hand directly onto a Real Techniques buffing brush and blend in but with this because of the consistency I found it best to dab it all around the face with my fingers then blend it out using a brush.

As you can see this shade has absolutely no 'orangey' tint to it which I found with so many other drug store foundations it also blends so so easily almost looking like I'm not wearing any foundation at all. I generally have to add concealer around my eyes as the coverage is quite sheer but it does a really good job of evening out my skin tone and doesn't look cakey. Often I find I don't even have to set it with powder which is a plus but for a long day out if you start to look a little oily you could just top up with a powder like Rimmels Stay Matt.

My only problem with this foundation is that it matches my skin so well that it really shows just how pale I am and feel like i need a lot of blush or some bronzer just to give myself some colour and stop myself looking like a corpse....but then thats just being really picky.

This was my make up look today I always prime before using any foundation, I really love Benefit's Porefession i find that it works so much better then any other primer I have used.

Thank you for reading, I hope you found this review useful!
