Redecorating: Toddler To Teen Bedroom.
I found trying to decide on a theme for Eli's room really difficult, I kept finding a lot of children's furnishing to be quite tacky looking and babyish and I really wanted something a little more grown up that would see I'm through a good few years without him growing out of it.
The hardest thing to decide on was bedding and in the end I found John Lewis to have the best selection. This car print duvet and pillow set looks cool and vibrant and a little sophisticated Eli loves all vehicles so it will set the theme perfectly and the range also come with a matching wallpaper which would be perfect for a feature wall. Picking out the colours yellow, blue and grey these colours will be used in other aspects of decoration like this grey bamboo light pendant and chevron blanket from the mamas and papas patternology range.
I love this book storage unit from Vertbaudet and they colours tie in perfectly it will make a great reading corner with a few floor cushions to sit on. Eli will be upgrading to a big boy bed and this one from ikea is extendable from toddle sized to single, again another aspect that we will not grow out of too quickly. Also from ikea this clothes rack is a nice way of displaying Eli's already well established hat collection, but can be used for other accessories too.
What do you think of the grown up toddler style?
Thank you for reading.
Loulou.
