A Little TheBalm Cosmetics Purchase & 'How Bout Them Apples' Sample Review.

So since my Birchbox arrived I have been obsessed with little this TheBalm Cosmetics 'How bout them apples' cheek and lip stain sample in the colour 'Pie'. Firstly the packaging is amazing, I love the retro design and being a sample its dinky size is just adorable everything about it is extremely cute. The cardboard surrounding is robust and it has a magnetic open/close so that it wont come undone in your handbag....talking of handbag it is the perfect size for travel!

This versatile product can be used on cheeks and lips and works well on both. On the lips its not too drying and on the cheeks its not too wet or greasy which for me is the perfect balance for a 2 in 1 product. The products texture is very soft and melting to touch and boy does a little go a long way, the pigmentation in this stain is fantastic it could be very easy to over do it.

Above is a swatch of the colour 'Pie' both on the finger and blended on the hand. This colour can be applied with your fingers or using a small contour brush which is my preferred choice as I find it gives a softer look and is easier to blend out. The shade itself is what I would call a pinky coral, a lovely colour for the summer months. If you were to purchase the full sized palette it contains the colour 'Pie' and also 5 other stain shades from a vibrant red, dusky pink to subtle peaches so you have plenty of choice! The palette is £26 and is available here, and for anyone who likes stains or liquid blushes I would really recommend these as the formula is really great.
After accruing quite a few Birchbox points I had a bit of money to spend in their online shop and after being so impressed with TheBalm Cosmetics brand I thought Id give another one of their blushes a go and have ordered 'Hot Mama!'. This blush has been called a great alternative to Nas 'Orgasm' not so much a dupe as this is more peach toned where as Nas "orgasm' is more pinked toned but they do both have the gold shimmer undertone running through it. Because of the shimmer it is kind of like a highlighter and blush all in one which gives a beautiful natural glow. It looks the perfect colour for my pale skin and I'm really looking forward to reviewing it once its here.

Thank you for reading! What do you think of TheBalm Cosmetics?
